A greener, calmer Moyale
Every tree PPI plants does double duty: it restores a degraded landscape, and it stands as a shared community project across ethnic lines. Our tree-planting drives bring together the same neighbours who sit in our dialogue forums, turning environmental care into an act of peacebuilding.
Girls in class, every week of the month
Period poverty quietly pushes girls out of education. By pairing sanitary pad distribution with school-based counselling and mentorship, PPI addresses both the practical barrier and the confidence gap, so girls don’t just stay in school, they lead in it.
Conversations communities were not having
GBV, FGM and early marriage thrive in silence. PPI’s sensitisation forums and community drama performances have brought these subjects into the open at the locational level, in local languages, through trusted local voices, and started the conversations that change norms.
Peace as a daily practice
More than one hundred dialogues and forums later, communities in Moyale have a standing habit of talking before tensions escalate, with women and youth in the room, not outside it.
Accountability
PPI maintains sound financial management, structured monitoring and evaluation, and open reporting to communities and donors alike. Every project includes review meetings and continuous M&E against budgets and planned activities. Our reports and accounts are available to partners on request.
