Welcome to Moyale’s communities share markets, water points and family ties across ethnic and national lines, yet cycles of tension have repeatedly disrupted lives and livelihoods. PPI convenes inter-ethnic dialogue forums, community reconciliation initiatives and youth-led peace campaigns, working hand-in-hand with local administration, elders and religious leaders.
Since 2021, we have conducted over 100 peacebuilding activities, dialogues, forums and campaigns, that have reduced tensions and promoted coexistence. Our peace work addresses the root causes of recurrent conflict along the border corridor and builds the durable, everyday trust on which everything else depends.
What this looks like on the ground
