In one of Kenya’s most drought-prone regions, a healthy environment is a foundation for peace. Climate shocks strain pastoral livelihoods and sharpen competition over water and pasture, pressures that can tip into conflict. PPI has planted over 1,000 trees across Moyale Sub-County and mobilizes communities as environmental stewards, linking conservation to shared livelihoods and reduced competition over natural resources.
